Reading Cinemas Jindalee

I really love this cinema centre for so many reasons!! The parking is free and there's usually plenty of it. The staff are always welcoming... Well, at least they have been each time I have been there, especially throughout the difficult covered time when Reading Cinema DFO Jindalee first opened. They still have a flat rate ticket price of $12!!! Once you get into the cinemas it's even better. They have small intimate cinemas of around 20 seats, and these must be the most luxurious and modern in Brisbane. You walk into the beautiful smell of leather. Everybody has a wonderful recliner chair, table, sensible, and good-sized drink holder in a style that is up market and spacious. If you are over 18, you can purchase a wide variety of alcohol drinks. There is also hot food available as well as candy bar items. This is Gold Class VIP cinema at perhaps the best price currently around. You can also book online for tickets and choose your seats. You are free to choose your seats when you buy your ticket when you arrive in person too. There is a screen with a seating map that you can select from, and no, it's not automated; it's offered. Even Auntie Jenny will have a polite staff member attending and not need to be computer literate. This would be an ideal venue to have a private Cinema session as the cinema size is ideal. In addition, there are restaurants around in the DFO Centre that could be incorporated into a special event for a celebration, eg. birthday party or family day. Get along and see for yourself. I'm glad this centre, which has been open for over a year now, is in my locale.

I consider myself a little bit of an expert on popcorn. I was in the first screening on Sunday yesterday and got a bucket of popcorn. It was then I realised, using my popcorn knowledge, that it did not taste fresh - stale even. And considering I was the first screening of the day, it should've tasted like the air had freshly bursted out of the kernel, but it didn't. Which makes me wonder, how long ago was this made. And I understand popcorn can be eaten the day after it is popped, but I was a paying customer and expected quality for my money. Honestly....insulting. I wanted to write this review to spread the word, do NOT get their popcorn. Boycott their popcorn!! This is the price you pay for not valuing your customers.
